The Boghossian Foundation is temporarily closed and will reopen on October 22 with the exhibition Soleil Noir. See you soon!

Following the tremendous success of the exhibition Armenia, contemplating the sacred, presented at the Boghossian Foundation in 2023-2024, it is now launching its travelling programme, with its first stop at the Armenian Heritage Centre in Valence, France.

Conceived by Louma Salamé and Bernard Coullie, the exhibition Armenia, contemplating the sacred continued its journey in Valence, where it is reimagined and enriched with new visual material. It explores the notion of the sacred in all its dimensions—extending beyond religious context—against the backdrop of current events still marked by conflict and the displacement of populations.

This exhibition invites visitors on a journey through the historic lands of millennia-old Armenia, where virtual reality meets ancient relics, artefacts from the past, contemporary landscapes and emblematic sites. Immersive installations, photographs and contemporary works engage in dialogue with treasures from the collection of the Musée Arménien de France.

In partnership with Iconem, immersive videos present visitors with a truly unique experience as they discover endangered historic sites such as the emblematic monasteries of Geghard, Haghpat, Hayravank, Kirants and Arakelots, as well as the sites of Surp Hovannes – Meghri and Deghdznut.
