What could the crisis between Israel and Iran lead to?

Bernard Hourcade and Gaïdz Minassian

Lecture ◇ 28 November 2024 Sold out

Can we talk about war between Israel and Iran? Tensions are rising between the two states, with Iranians and Israelis responding to each other’s actions. Is this an extreme crisis or a war that has yet to be named? What can we now expect in the Middle East? To discuss this, the Boghossian Foundation is pleased to invite Bernard Hourcade, a geographer and specialist on Iran.

Bernard Hourcade, a geography specialist on Iran, is an emeritus research director at CNRS. His work covers the space of the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent. He directed the French Institute for Research in Iran from 1978 to 1993. He is the author of numerous journal articles and about ten books, including Geopolitics of Iran (Geopolitical Perspectives series, Armand Colin, 2010, regularly reprinted).

Gaïdz Minassian is a journalist at Le Monde and a lecturer at Sciences Po Paris.
