As we approach the third anniversary of the war in Ukraine, where do we stand? Three years after Russia attacked Ukraine on 24 February 2022, what is the state of the front, the rear and the prospects for resolving this high-intensity conflict? The Boghossian Foundation is delighted to welcome Thomas Gomart, Director of the French Institute of International Relations, to shed some light on these questions.

Thomas Gomart has been Director of the French Institute of International Relations (IFRI) since 2015. A historian by training, he specialises in international issues, particularly relations between Europe and Russia. He is a regular contributor to the European and international media and specialist geopolitical journals. He is the author of several books, including the last two published by Tallandier: Les Ambitions inavouées, Ce que préparent les grandes puissances (2023) and L’accélération de l’histoire, Les noeuds géostratégiques d’un monde hors de contrôle (2024).

Gaïdz Minassian is a journalist for Le Monde and a lecturer at Sciences Po Paris.
