Journey from Alger to Oran

An air of renewal is blowing across the Mediterranean. Algeria is at last revealing its rich heritage and long history through a mosaic of Arab, Berber, Andalusian, Ottoman and French heritages.

True to its mission of bringing cultures together, the Boghossian Foundation will be taking you along the shores of the Mediterranean, to discover the capital Algiers, the Roman ruins of Tipasa, Oran and Tlemcen, and above all to meet the people who live there.

The tour will be accompanied by Abderrahmane Khelifa, Doctor of History and Archaeology, a leading defender of Algerian heritage and former Director of Heritage. He was behind the classification of sites such as the Kasbah of Algiers and Tipasa, and is the author of the book Alger la biengardée and numerous archaeological works on the sites he has excavated.
