Art Déco(r)

Workshops for kids ◇ 14 July › 18 July 2025

The Boghossian Foundation and CIVA are organizing a summer workshop for children focused on the Roaring Twenties.

During a week, participants will step back in time at Villa Empain and the Horta Museum. Inspired by these Art Deco and Art Nouveau gems, they will become architects of their own creations, exploring techniques such as wallpaper design, weaving, cyanotype and stained glass. The programme also includes an escape game, guided tours, walks and Charleston!

CIVA is a museum, an archive, a library, a meeting and discussion place for enthusiasts of architecture, landscape, the urban ecosystem and history in Brussels. Temporary exhibitions, debates, guided tours and children’s activities take place throughout the year.

With its educational programme, CIVA aims to make the young public curious about the city and its surroundings and to stimulate their enthusiasm to become its ambassadors! A team of experts, guides and animators offers a wide range of activities for children to discover the exhibitions, the collection and the city.
