The Boghossian Foundation is temporarily closed and will reopen on October 22 with the exhibition Soleil Noir. See you soon!

The Boghossian Foundation invites you to an unprecedented artistic immersion in the heart of Antwerp.

Renowned for its port, fashion designers and diamond trade, the city is also celebrated for the remarkable legacy of painters it has brought into the world. We will explore the undeniable influence of the Antwerp School, and of Pieter Bruegel in particular, on the multidisciplinary artist Joris Van de Moortel. Currently in the spotlight in the exhibition Fire at Villa Empain, Joris will open the doors of his Antwerp studio to us for a privileged encounter with his universe.

The artist will then lead us on a visit to the Maagdenhuis, a site steeped in history and home to a rare collection of Flemish masters, including works by Bruegel. Moving from one artwork to the next, he will share the connections he weaves between this Antwerp heritage and his own contemporary practice.

This getaway will also be an opportunity to explore the splendid exhibition devoted to René Magritte at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp, and to discover major works of the CoBrA movement from the outstanding collection of Antwerp businessman and collector Fernand Huts.
