Three nights, three collectors, three historical walks in Lisbon
◇ 13 November › 16 November 2026
Imbued with history, Lisbon today looks resolutely towards the future. As 2026 marks the fiftieth anniversary of Portugal’s democratic Constitution and forty years since its accession to the European project, the capital continues to astonish through its refined art of living and its creative vitality.
Faithful to its mission of creating dialogue between cultures, the Boghossian Foundation invites you to follow in the footsteps of three great art patrons who have shaped — and continue to shape — the city’s artistic landscape, set against the backdrop of its recent history.
The journey will be accompanied by the lecturer Yves Léonard, a historian specialising in contemporary Portugal. He holds a doctorate in history and the Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR), and is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris, where he is a member of the Centre d’Histoire. He is also an associate researcher at the University of Rouen-Normandy. Yves Léonard has taught at Sciences Po since 1997 and is notably responsible for the lecture course in comparative history examining Portugal and Spain from the late nineteenth century to the present day. He is the author of numerous works, including Histoire de la nation portugaise (Tallandier, 2022) and Salazar. Le dictateur énigmatique (Perrin, 2024).
