A Chain of Stories
With Marie-Rose Meysman
◇ 9 August 2026
“Within every bead of this wondrous necklace lies a sleeping story.
All it takes is a ray of light to awaken it.”
Storyteller Marie-Rose Meysman invites you to an afternoon of tales inspired by the exhibition Diary of Happiness and the glasswork of Jean-Michel Othoniel.
Working alongside the glassmaking families of Murano, the artist creates baroque beads, each one unique, bearing the trace of the gesture that shaped it: the scar left by gathering molten glass from the furnace. These beads come together to form immense necklaces, adornments that evoke fragments of the body, crystalline whirlwinds, and architectural jewels.
Through her stories, Marie-Rose invites us on a poetic escape beneath the cedar trees of the Villa Empain garden.
