As part of the exhibition Josef and Anni Albers, iconic couple of modernism, the Boghossian Foundation is opening a temporary design shop at the Villa Empain.

Pioneers of modernism, the legacy of Josef and Anni Albers is multifaceted and can be found in both the visual arts and contemporary design.

For the next few months, discover a selection of furniture and rugs inspired by the couple’s work. Their creative genius meets the expertise of design publishers in the form of the famous Lounge Chair, created in 1928 by Josef Albers and just reissued by Vienna-based furniture designers TYP; the Homage to the square, Blue, White, Grey rug, based on the original 1951 painting of the same name by Josef Albers; and the famous Child Room, based on the gouache sketch by Anni Albers in 1928 and published by Christopher Farr Rugs in a limited edition.

The selection also includes decorative objects, stationery and posters.
